Christian Alarcón
Visual Artist

German / Bolivian nationality

Alarcón completed his Bachelor and Master studies in Fine Arts in Germany between the Muthesius Kunsthochschule Academy in Kiel and the Weißensee Academy of Art in Berlin. In those years he made several group and individual exhibitions in cities of Europe and Bolivia.

After finishing his studies in mid-2019, Christian Alarcón returned to his hometown La Paz Bolivia, where he held a solo exhibition at the Puro Gallery and exhibited at the Contemporary Art Biennial Contextos in the city of Cochabamba.

At the end of 2020 he participated in the residency program at the Contemporary Art Gallery Kiosko in the city of Santa Cruz. There, in addition to carrying out the art residency, he exhibited his works in the group exhibition Sala circulante and in the Sala en línea.

Currently during the pandemic, he lives in La Paz where he continues working on his artistic project.
