PAPER SCARIFICATION

In the process of creating my artwork, I experimented with different textures on paper, making a total of 160 variations. Among all these, I chose the one that interested me the most and continued to develop it. I named this visual language: Paper Scarification.

On the drawing plane, I generate repetitive points on the base material. This breaks the paper, building in a natural way, random strokes creating different lines. This process raises the paper to form different volumes and structures.

From the pictorial aspect, through several experiments with different materials, I observed that the colours used change their composition through a previous iteration, generating metallic colours that change their tonalities and shades depending on the angle of the light. This pictorial process accentuates the structure inherent in the technique.
